The Perry Area Sesquicentennial group met on Thursday, November 19th at Perry City Hall. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ron Leake. Those in attendance were Richard and Charlotte Flick, Steve Hickman, Russ Gilmore, Dustin Wasson, Cyndy Coleman, Judy Heim, Glenna Johnson and Edna Long.
The treasurer’s report was presented. Currently the sesquicentennial group has $4,192.21 in the account. Sponsorships continue to come in. Sponsorship deadlines is scheduled for January 1st.
Currently Sesquicentennial sweatshirts and t-shirts are on sale at HNB, City Hall and the Ralls County Historical Society. These items will be great Christmas gifts. T-Shirts are $12 each (S-XL) and 2XL are $15. Sweatshirts are $20.00 each. A new shipment of sweatshirts will be coming in soon to meet the holiday demand.
Cyndy Coleman presented several contests and games that will be going on during the festival. Those include a beard contest, flower show, quit show, hat/fashion show, photo contest, bingo, pet show, baby show, little mr & miss contest and the queen contest.
Steve Hickman brought up ideas on where to have the parade lineup.
The group also set the vendor rate at $100. This includes both days of the festival.
