The Perry Area Sesquicentennial group met on Thursday, October 15th at 6:30 pm. The group heard the treasurers report and motion was made by Charlotte Flick and seconded by Richard Flick. Motion passed unanimously.
The group heard from Danette Henderson about quotes for liability insurance. The group made a motion by Dustin Wasson and seconded by Judy Heim to purchase liability insurance from Perry Insurance Agency for $687.
Several sponsorships and donations have been coming in. The committee is currently soliciting sponsorships. If you would like to become a sponsor, please visit the sesquicentennial website at www.perrymo150.com
Sesquicentennial t-shirts and sweatshirts will be ordered from Landmarx’s in Quincy and will be for sale at the Home for the Holidays event on November 21st.
Donnie Rust will be creating a custom Perry Area Sesquicentennial guitar. The raffle tickets will be sold thru the sesquicentennial.
Other items discussed was entertainment, sesquicentennial sponsorship booklet, pictorial book, vendors, craft vendors, bingo, beer garden and a kids zone.
The next meeting will be held at Perry City Hall on Thursday, November 19th at 6:30 pm.
